Radiation Exposure during Elective Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair: A Nationwide Study of Patient Doses in Finland
Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) predisposes patients to significant radiation exposure, with well known harmful effects. This study aimed to assess the radiation doses and their consistency in Finland and to investigate the factors affecting the doses, to potentially allow future dose reductions.
Screening Detected Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms and Synchronous Cancer in Men
Population based abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screening in 65 year old men has reduced aneurysm related mortality. Men with AAA still face elevated mortality rates from cardiovascular disease and cancer compared with the population. The primary aim was to evaluate the prevalence of cancer in men with AAA and aneurysm progression rate in patients with cancer. The secondary aim was to compare survival in men diagnosed with AAA, with or without cancer.
Endovascular and Hybrid Treatment of Extracranial Carotid Artery Aneurysms: Long Term Results from the International Carotid Aneurysm Registry
To evaluate the procedural and long term outcomes of endovascular treatment of extracranial carotid artery aneurysms (ECAAs).
Systematic Review, Meta-analysis, and Time to Event Analysis of Contemporary Mortality after Major Lower Limb Amputation for Peripheral Arterial Disease or Diabetes Mellitus
Major lower limb amputation for peripheral arterial disease (PAD) or diabetes mellitus carries high mortality risk. This time to event and meta-analysis reports contemporary survival and subgroup risk factor analysis.
Fifteen Year Outcome Results of Endovascular Aortic Repair with a Third Generation Endograft
Long term outcomes after aortic endografting regarding patient and re-intervention free survival are scarce. In this study, long term outcomes of patients initially presenting with an aortic or aorto-iliac aneurysm and treated with the Zenith endograft were assessed.

Use of a Balloon Guide Catheter during Endovascular Treatment of Acute Ischaemic Stroke due to Large Vessel Occlusion in the Anterior Circulation in Patients with an Atherosclerotic Tandem Lesion
Approximately 15 - 20% of patients with anterior circulation large vessel occlusion (LVO) acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) have a carotid tandem lesion, usually caused by atherosclerosis. These lesions are associated with worse outcomes compared with isolated LVO-AIS. During endovascular thrombectomy (EVT), balloon guide catheters (BGCs) may reduce distal embolisation and subsequently improve outcomes, but evidence in this population is limited. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of BGC use on EVT outcomes in patients with anterior circulation LVO-AIS and atherosclerotic tandem lesions.
Association of Anatomical Patterns of Arterial Occlusive Disease and Endovascular Outcomes in the BEST-CLI Trial Supports the Use of the Global Limb Anatomic Staging System
This study aimed to retrospectively apply a modified Global Limb Anatomic Staging System (GLASS) framework of infra-inguinal arterial disease to patients enrolled in the Best Endovascular vs. best Surgical Therapy in patients with Critical Limb Ischemia (BEST-CLI) trial to assess its validity for limb based outcomes and its utility in guiding the choice between endovascular therapy (ENDO) and open surgical bypass (OPEN).
